Hypnosis for Stress

What is Stress?

Well, according to the Oxford English Dictionary it is “A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances”.

It’s often associated with the feeling of being unable to cope and as such you become stressed.

The causes of stress are varied. But the common causes are often:

  • work-related,
  • due to relationship issues,
  • or money worries

Over the last few months, a major cause of stress has been due to Covid-19 and lockdown issues.

Different people deal with stress in different ways.

Symptoms of Stress

Some of the symptoms that may affect you are:

  • Sleep problems
  • Anxiety
  • Worrying/Overthinking
  • Loss of appetite
  • Comfort eating
  • Suffering from low self-esteem
  • Headaches
  • Stomach pains
  • and other pains

While stress itself is not an illness, it can lead to serious illnesses if not addressed. Modern-day life means that many people suffer from stress in one form or another.

Whilst you may not be able to change the circumstances in your life that have created stress, how you deal with those circumstances or situations can be greatly improved.

5 Ways To Help You to Cope With Stress

Breathe – When you are beginning to feel the stress building up, just take 5 or 6 deep breaths. This will help to calm you.

Train your brain – Have a picture in your mind that creates a calmness within you. This could be a still lake or a sunset, or similar. Think of that picture and allow the calmness to take over and bring you back to a place of balance.

Accept yourself – You are not a super being. You are human. There are only so many hours in the day, so rather than thinking of all the jobs or tasks that you didn’t manage to get done, focus on the ones that you did do. Congratulate yourself for them.

Learn to Say No – This doesn’t mean that you are an awful person. Many people don’t know how to say no and then find themselves in situations that they didn’t want to be in.

Be kind to yourself – Spend some time every day, even if it’s for only 10 minutes, where you can just enjoy a bit of “you” time.

Hypnosis for Stress

I would like to introduce you to one of my clients who has very bravely shared her experience on video. She talks about how I helped her, in only 4 weeks, using hypnosis for stress.

A hypnosis for stress programme can target the problem and replace feelings of stress, with a calmer and more controlled outlook on life.

This client came to see me suffering from a combination of stress and anxiety. She also had a lack of confidence, which affected her in many ways, not only in her personal life but in her work life as well.  Consequently, she found it virtually impossible to run her retail shop.

This led to a continual feeling of dread and worry, with a constant knot of anxiety in her stomach.

Update – Post Hypnosis for Stress

Just 4 weeks after the initial hypnosis treatment, the change is significant. She tells us that her strength has come back and she now has the strength of character to finally cope with life again. She says she is feeling so much happier, more in control and has managed to return to work again.

This is a dramatic change. Before she came to me, she was so stressed out, that she didn’t know what day of the week it was.

Her message on the video is that anyone who is struggling needs to try hypnotherapy with me – “It really puts you back in control”.

Please watch the video and, if you are suffering from stress, contact me to make an appointment and let’s begin to change your life for the better.

Until next time.
